Trojan Gift was bought in America in September 2008 and because of his size, we did not put him into training until the autumn of 2009. This extra time benefitted him hugely and he looks stronger with each passing month.

He made his racecourse debut at Redcar in April 2010 and ran a very creditable race to finish sixth. He then was placed at Ripon and Newcastle before flopping on his handicap bow at Doncaster in June.

He was given plenty of time to grow into himself over the summer and ran a great race back at Redcar in September when finishing fourth, beaten just a length and a half. He eventually got his head in front at Southwell this summer before embarking on a successful hurdling campaign.
